Explore the ruined city of Vijayanagara, a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Wander through boulder-strewn landscapes, ancient temples, and royal enclosures that once housed half a million people.
💡 Carry water — very little shade on the boulder trail. Best visited Oct–Feb. Archaeological Survey of India entry fees apply at Vittala Temple.
A circuit through the heart of Chola heritage. Discover Brihadeeswarar Temple, the Saraswathi Mahal Library, and the Thanjavur Royal Palace along tree-lined avenues.
💡 Dress modestly — temple entry requires covered shoulders and legs. Early morning (6–8 AM) offers the best light and cooler temperatures.
A green trail through one of India's most iconic campuses. Spot spotted deer, explore colonial-era buildings, and discover the rich research heritage of IIT Madras inside a protected urban forest.
💡 Entry is free on weekends for the public. No vehicles beyond Main Gate on Sundays. Keep noise low near the deer zone.
Trace the grandeur of the Wadiyar dynasty through Mysore's iconic landmarks — the illuminated palace, Devaraja Market, Chamundi Hill, and the bustling silk bazaars.
💡 The Chamundi Hill section has 1000+ steps — take your time. Palace is illuminated on Sundays and national holidays.
Walk the sacred ghats of the oldest living city in the world. From Dashashwamedh to Assi Ghat — witness Ganga Aarti, ancient silk weaving, and millennia-old riverside rituals.
💡 Best walked at sunrise (5–7 AM) for the morning aarti. Stay on the ghats — the lanes behind can be confusing. Respectful dress required near temples.
Wind through the pink-walled bazaars of the Walled City, past Hawa Mahal, City Palace, and Jantar Mantar. A sensory journey through Rajput splendour and living craft traditions.
💡 Beat the heat — start before 8 AM or after 5 PM. Friday closures at some monuments. Auto-rickshaws available for tired legs between waypoints.
